Laura Sutter
Laura Sutter of Swift Current, Saskatchewan passed away May 9, 2024 at the Swift Current Hospital. Born the 24th of October, 1926, Laura was the eldest of four children. At the age of 18, Laura attended the Herbert Bible College and graduated with a certificate in Religious Studies. After completing her certificate, she worked at the St Joseph's Hospital in Gravelbourg for a year and a half as a nurse's aid. She then moved to city Hospital Saskatoon where she completed her training as a nurse. She found employment at the Swift Current Hospital and remained there until retirement at the age of 65, spending many years working in Labour and Delivery. She was a member of the Swift Current Alliance Church and was a person who loved everyone and found fault in no one. Laura lived a full life, surrounding herself with beloved family and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Samuel Sutter, her mother Emma Sutter, her nephew Steven Wald (2001), her brother- in -law Norman Erb, her brother-in-law Ernie Walk, and her best friend May Campbell, and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by sister Teana Erb (Norman-deceased), and Teana's children and grandchildren, her sister Alice Wald (Ernie-deceased), Alice's children and grandchildren, her brother Wally Shutter (Betty), Wally's children and grandchildren, her long time friends Marion and Gary Wiebe and also many cousins. Funeral services will be held May 17th at the Swift Current Funeral Home at 2 P.M. Laura will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Burial at Memory Gardens, Swift Current.
