It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Ralf Schmidt, late of Fort Assiniboine, AB, (formerly of) Germany, on June 21, 2015 at the age of 50 years. He is survived by his loving family; his wife Kerry of 4 years, his 4 children; Krystle (Dennis) Souza of Edmonton, AB, Derek (Kristina) Schmidt of Edmonton, AB, Andrew Schmidt of Edmonton, AB, and Nicholas Schmidt of Calgary, AB, his 3 step-children; Melissa (Alex) Duro of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Katrina (Rory) Hoskins of Morinville, AB, and Savannah Hoskins of Edmonton, AB, his 10 grandchildren; Carmella, Adelia, Phoenix, Kyla, Zachary, Nathan, Maddox, Oaklyn, Lukas, and Aria, his parents Klaus and Marianne Schmidt, his 2 brothers; Ingo and Christopher, and his sister Michaela as well as numerous other family and many dear friends. Ralf was predeceased by his Oma Block. A Visitation was held on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Barrhead Alliance Church followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Trevor Crowe officiating. Cremation will follow.
