Jacqueline Stapper Obituary

On July 26, 2021 we lost our family's center. Jackie died peacefully with loved ones at her side, following a long battle with autoimmune disease.

Born in Toronto on May 28, 1945 to Walter and Helen Yarwood, middle sister to Suzie (Bob), Mike (Sue), Chris and Chip (Michèle). Her early life was filled with travel and adventure, she devoted her adult life to nursing and caring for so many.

Predeceased by her parents and brothers Mike and Chris. She leaves behind husband Cor, children Karen, Eric (Andrea), Sheldon (Kat), grandchildren Alexandra, Hudson, Madison, Ralegh and Stella, siblings Suzie and Chip and many nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved her dearly.

Jackie loved and appreciated Canadian arts, visual and musical. She championed her siblings, children and grandchildren in their endeavours. Many people were welcomed into her life, she supported and cared for them in a way that only she could. Be you neighbour, old friend, extended family, artist, or someone in need she would do whatever she could to welcome you or help you on your journey.

In lieu of flowers we ask that you support the arts, and donate to groups that help your neighbours, or those that empower women and girls.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life is planned for early fall.
