Simon GOZZi Obituary

Simon Gozzi, 39, of Brampton and Erin, passed away suddenly on March 18, 2020. We are heartbroken. This lovely, warm and gentle man known for having a very big heart for his friends and family, and for his love of animals, has left us all too soon. It is said that the measure of a man is in how he is remembered. He will always be fondly remembered by his parents, Mario (Michelle), Ursula (Sepp), his two step-brothers, Evan and Brendan; his aunts, uncles and cousins in Switzerland and the U.S.; and, all of his close friends in Erin and Brampton. Simon will live on in our hearts and memories. An on-line Book of Condolences is available. In lieu of flowers, donations in Simon's name to either CAMH or the O.V.C. Pet Trust would be appreciated. I have known Simon my entire life and he has always been the most generous and gentle soul who always had my back and was willing to lend out a helping hand if asked. It is with deep sorrow that I say goodbye to a friend no considered as a brother.

Simon was a good friend growing up. We knew each other in elementary and high school and hung out a lot. I remember playing guitar with him, having dinner at his house (his Dad was such a good cook - best chili ever!) and playing Mortal Kombat when it first came out on Sega Genesis. Simon was always so generous and kind. We had a lot of fun times back in the day together. Rest in peace, Simon
