David Bushell Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David William Bushell, who left us on April 22, 2025, in Langley, British Columbia, at the age of 69. David was born and raised in New Westminster, B.C., where he spent his school years and developed a deep love for his community.
David was known for his warm heart, generous spirit, and passion for photography, but he was best remembered for his more than 20 years portraying Santa Claus at Woodward's, Royal City Centre, and Valley Fair Mall, bringing joy to countless children and families. He proudly continued a family tradition, inspired both by his father and by his mentor and friend Larry.
David was more than just Santa — he was a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend. Predeceased by his parents Glen and Stella and his brother, Darrell. David will be fondly remembered by his son, Christopher, his sisters, Christine, Renee, Darcel, and Diana, along with his nieces and nephews. In recent years, David found renewed strength and peace through his faith, sharing joyful moments at church with his friend Bev. David's kindness, laughter, and holiday spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.
We would like to welcome all friends and family to join us for a celebration of David's life being held at Century House 620 Eighth Street New Westminster, BC. On Saturday, May 17,2025 from 12:00 pm till 3:00pm
