Eugene Krawchuk Obituary

With broken hearts, we share that our beloved husband, father, and friend, Eugene Krawchuk, passed away on March 21, 2022. Eugene was born in Edmonton to Leon "Leo" and Adele Krawchuk. The family relocated to Tsawwassen, where he grew up with his three siblings, Wayne, Karen, and Kevin. He graduated from UBC with a first-class degree in Physics and went on to earn his CGA and an MBA from Sauder Business School. It was at UBC that he met and fell in love with his wife, Margaret. With infinite love and support, they raised their two daughters, Shannon and Erin. After working for Royal Bank, most of Eugene's career was at Chevron Canada. He held roles in almost every department of the company to fully understand the business and became the head of finance for Chevron Canada. Outside of work, Eugene loved nothing more than to play a round of golf with friends, travel the world with his family, or listen to his favourite music. He was an amazing chef, always trying new recipes and sharing his delicious food and love of cooking with the rest of his family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations may be sent to the Canadian Red Cross and their efforts for the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis, in lieu of flowers.

Eugene was always kindhearted, he was a gentleman in the truest sense. He would not back down if he knew something to be wrong. I will remember him for many things including when we delivered newspapers, his stack was probably the same size as he was. He just went to work and got it done. Words escape me, but my heart, and condolences are with you.

Eugene always was a bright smile in our day. I loved that he called me Michelly and that he always said "Gord we need you to sink this one" during mud bowl when of course you need to sink them all! We will miss him and we will remember his friendly face and welcoming smile that made Tsawwassen become home to us.

Dear Margaret, Shannon and Erin and the rest of your families.
I am so sorry to hear of Eugene's passing. It is too shocking to hear of your loss. Like many others, I worked with Eugene during most of his career at Chevron. During this time, we had moments where we focused on what was important to us personally and for Eugene, the three of you always topped the list.
I am sorry that I am not able to make the Celebration of his life this week but my thoughts will be with you all. My Sincerest Condolences

Many years ago, Eugene was my parents´ paper boy. He was hardworking, diligent, and always courteous. My mom used to "Oh, his parents must be so proud." I´m so sorry for your loss, but also heartened that he continued to lead his life this way all through the years. What a gift he has been to you all.
