Sharon HAMILTON Obituary

HAMILTON, Sharon Louise May 2, 1947 - September 21, 2020 She made friends feel like family and family feel like friends. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Louise Hamilton. Sharon grew up on the Sunshine Coast, moving to Vancouver in the late 1960s and finally settling in Tsawwassen in the late 1970s, remaining there until her passing. 'Sharon, Nana, Nan, Mrs H', gave selflessly and unconditionally to all her family and friends. Anyone who knew her, knew she voiced strong opinions and gave great advice. She left a lasting impression with anyone she came into contact with. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She dedicated the last twenty years of her life to them. If she wasn't participating in a school volunteer activity she was sitting cheering them on from the sidelines in all of their sports. Nan was their #1 fan always. She devoted this energy to many of their friends as well, extending her love and support to them as if they were her own grandchildren. Sharon is survived by her daughter Dalyce Wickett (Chris), grandchildren Olivia and Noah, brother Rob Solnik. Predeceased by her sister Donna (Barry), and parents John and Mary. Sharon offered unconditional support to anyone who needed it. To honour her memory, her wish above all else would be that everyone continues her ways, giving of themselves in the same way, unconditionally, to those in need. There will be no celebration of life due to covid, but please feel free to reach out to her family with any messages that you wish at; [email protected] The Lord replied "...when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

I am so very sorry to hear of Sharon’s passing. We were friends all thru school and then we lost touch. Her mom Mary taught me to crochet about 50 years ago and until her death we kept in touch. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your Mom. If you are able, could you please let Rob know I have been in touch as I do not know how to reach him. Thank you so very much, and again I am so deeply sorry for your loss.

I knew Sharon, when I working in Tsawwassen. She always talked about her grandchildren. She always seemed to have such a bright and positive outlook. She often brought me treats! I will remember her fondly and will remember her kindness. My sympathies to her family at this time.

I was blessed to know Sharon through my friendship with Dalyce in junior high school. I remember her great sense of humour and contagious laugh❤

I remember her faithfully driving Dalyce and I to and from Tsawwassen to the Arts Umbrella Dance studio in Granville Island. Lots of good convos in the car.

I also remember our trip to Hawaii and LA with Sharon and her friend Johnny. She was very tolerant and patient with teenage Dalyce and I

She was always interested in what was going on in our lives and would take the time to chat with us❤

My last memory of her was bumping into her at the Tsawwassen Center mall when I was in my early 20’s, we had a good chat about many things including her Christian faith a g mine❤

May God bless the Wicket family as they navigate through this painful time ❤
