Shirley A. Landells

June 10, 1935 - December 30, 2024

Landells, Shirley Ann passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024 in Burnaby at the age of 89. Predeceased by mother Julia Maynard, father Herbert McIntyre, son Douglas MacAskill and brothers John and Mike McIntyre. She will be lovingly remembered by sons Don, Dan and Garrett MacAskill, grand daughter Katie MacAskill and sister Bonnie Simpson. Shirley was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in New Westminster and enjoyed taking part in Bible study there. As a teenager she found her calling as a choir singer and as a young woman gained a reputation at NCR Corporation as one of the leading technical trainers in Western Canada. She later worked for Derpak White Spencer LLP in Vancouver as a legal secretary until retirement. Shirley was inspired by her faith and had a lifelong reputation as an advocate for those in need. With her musical background Shirley loved to listen to opera and symphony orchestra. She will be missed by family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday January 25th at 1pm at First Presbyterian Church in New Westminster with Reverend Joanne Kim officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross.
