HAWTHORNE, Thea Smith February 13, 1945 – June 9, 2018 With great love and sadness we announce the passing of Thea Smith Hawthorne on Saturday, June 9, 2018 after a short and difficult struggle with lung cancer. Thea was a wonderfully kind and caring mother, grandmother, and partner. She was a woman who everyone loved, and her beautiful and gentle spirit will continue to comfort us as it always has. In passing she joins her daughter, Carol Hawthorne Park, and leaves behind life partner Glenn Malcolm, daughter Sue Easton (Steve), grandchildren Kayla and Ryan Park and their dad Matthew, brother-in-law Bruce Malcolm (Patsy), and former husband Ken Hawthorne (Joanne). Without doubt, Thea will be missed greatly by her friends and family. She will be remembered for the unconditional love and acceptance that she always gave us, for her generosity and support, and for her unequalled kindness and compassion. A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer with date and location to be announced.
