Thomas BROWN Obituary

BROWN, Thomas G.
June 23, 1937 - March 18, 2023

Beloved husband, cherished father, doting grandfather and dear friend, Tom left us on a glorious spring day, just after sunset. He was a loving, dedicated family man who enjoyed 18 holes of golf, a good Scotch or a cup of Timmy's, volunteering at YVR, easy conversation and latterly, walks around scenic Tsawwassen and Whistler.

Born in Crieff, Scotland, he emigrated to Canada in 1967 with his wife Dorothy, travelling near and far for his career in sales.

Father to Ailsa (Garnet) and Gavin (Michelle), he loved being a proud "Papa" to his grandchildren Fiona and Thomas.

His generosity, kindness, Scottish sense of humour and easygoing nature will be forever missed and never forgotten. With much love, we hope you got the first tee time the next day, dear one.

Worked with Tom for many years, taught me a lot. Always enjoyed our regular Tim Horton's get togethers after he retired. Condolences to the whole family.

Our sincerest condolences to Dorothy and the family I know Tom will be sorely missed. It is a long time since we first met Tom and Dorothy at their home on Galway and I shared our first glass of scotch with Tom. Tom and Dorothy's kindness to the two new immigrants will be long remembered. Tom ,hope the bar is open early for you.

I "worked" with Tom as a Greencoat at Vancouver International Airport. I very much enjoyed his company whether we were posted to the same location or just walking to or from the train before or after a shift. I was sorry to hear after Covid that he was not well and more so to learn of his passing.
