Dear Victor's family & friends,

How are you? I think I should introduce myself a bit here now. My name is Emily Choi and my main career is a violin instructor. I have ever resided in Vancouver since years 1994 until 2004 and now I am back in my birthplace Hong Kong for good.

When I was in Vancouver, I joined the 5pm choir of the Holy Cross Parish every Saturday since the mid. of year 1997. At the same time, Victor was already there to play his guitar to accompany the choir. That's how I knew him around that time. In fact, I was used to conduct the choir and for sure it was necessary that I(the conductor)had to communicate with the instrumentalist(s) of the choir about which hymns we were going to sing during every mass including special occasions at times. It is such a pleasure for me to "co-operate" with Victor because he is such a generous & devoted person. Also, he is very involved in music, too. Furthermore, I did ever play duets with him in the combination of instruments violin & guitar during special occasions like Christmas & Good Friday. Once, we two even did play a whole afternoon of background music for the "homeless" when they were enjoying late lunch which was prepared by our parishioners in a memorial church at China-town in Vancouver.

Thank You Very Much our Lord God for granting me such a Great Friend----Mr. Victor Delisle ever in my life. I do really miss him and I will remember him forever.

Dear Victor's family & friends,

May our Lord God continue to grant you the Strength & Power of the Holy Spirit especially during the time of sorrow. Again: With Deepest Sympathy towards the loss of Victor. God Blessed.

In Christ,
EMILY CHOI.

My deepest condolences to everyone who knew and loved Victor, his family, friends, community.

It seems that I saw him only a few weeks ago, and I just heard on the weekend that he has left us. What a loss to us here on earth -- I just finished reading what everyone else wrote, and clearly he was the same to everyone he knew.

I've known him for several years, through the Maple Ridge music community, loved dancing with him, such high energy, exuberance, love of life and music and people.

Heaven has gained one heck of a great angel, and I'm sure Victor will continue spreading his goodness from

To all who knew Uncle Vic.

Uncle Vic showed us all how to live and love life to the fullest. His unconditional love was shown to us all.

As his good friend Bob Bedford said in one of the earlier entries, I am very proud to have had him as my Uncle. Lots of my friends called him Uncle Vic as well.

It was an honor to play and sing two of my Uncle Vics favorite songs at his service. I felt his strength guiding me.

My heartfelt condolances to Jason,Jessica, and Denise who ment so.... much to him.We will all miss him dearly.

I'll sing a few for you around the campfire Uncle Vic.

God Bless. Leo....

To Victor's Family,

My condolances for the sorrow that you are feeling. This last time I saw Victor he was playing at the
Festival du Bois in March. We didn't speak as he was in the middle of a song but we nodded and shared his enthusiastic and infectious smile. He helped to make our wedding a special day by playing his guitar at the Mass. Thank you for helping him to share his gift of music so freely.

God bless you,

Wendy Murphy

To Victor's family

I am so sad to hear about Victor's death today, what a shock, I just saw it in the Record. I'm sorry I didn't know ahead of time to go to the funeral, as I'm sure many others from Development and Peace will be sorry they couldn't go. I knew him through D and P, he came to many of our functions, especially summer picnics and Christmas parties, where he played his guitar and sang "Blue Christmas". He was a wonderful person, volunteering his time with so many groups, giving with his heart. He will be truly missed.

Dear Victor's Family;

Our sincere heartfelt condolences to all of you for your loss. In many ways he is also our loss too at Holy Cross Parish, Burnaby and to his many friends.

My family and I have known Victor for many years and he was really an amazing person who touched our lives with his sincere and kind personality, deep faith especially his devotion in the Divine Mercy and Rosary. His wonderful singing and talented guitar playing in the Church choir and in our homes prayer gathering will always remain in our hearts. We are really privileged to know him and I will never forget when he played his guitar to lead the choir at my husband's funeral and sang solo at my two daughters' weddings.

I am really blessed to have such a supportive friend who offered prayers and Novena when he heard I got life threatening sickness, and voluntarily played/sang hymns with my family and friends to cheer me up at our prayer gathering in December. At our last Christmas gathering in my home with our Priests and friends, we all can still remember how happy he was chatting, enjoying my roast beef and the Ladies potluck dishes, praying and singing Christmas carols together.
In my last conversation with him in April Holy Week he encouraged me to have strong faith and trust in God and continue praying for each other. Yes brother Victor we will continue praying in your memory and for our brothers and sisters in Christ. Thank you for being our friend in life. May you rest in peace.

Your sister-in-Christ

To Victor's family,

I'm so sorry for your loss. He would often come into Liquidation World when I was working there, and he always had a smile on his face and something nice to say. I also saw him working at Save-On-Foods once and he came over to talk to me. He will be missed by all who knew him

Victor's family
My condolences to all of you.
Victor will be forever remembered. I've always known him to be a greatly devout Catholic and generous man with his time and talent. I am so privilege to join him in singing at the massess at Holy Cross choir and really enjoy his enthusiasm in singing/playing guitar for several years. He also did an amazing job in singing/playing guitar solo with "Butterfly Kisses" at my+my sister's wedding recently (2006+2009). If you like, I can share a video of his singing.
God bless you all, Fideline

Victor's family,

Your father/grandfather came into our little store on Brunette Avenue often. We knew him through mutual friends and the visits that brought him through the doors of our Catholic store for over 6 years.

Victor really touched our hearts and our lives with his joy, faith and positive attitude. We talked about God, music, family, work, and life.

Our condolences to all the family.

God speed, friend. We will always be grateful that our paths crossed in this life.
