WRIGHT, Const. Bancroft Anthony It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Bancroft Wright on December 11, 2020. Loving father of Brianna, Brooklynn, Candice and Courtney and lovingly remembered by his wife Tricia (Geysens) Wright. Devoted son of Madge and Keith and devoted Brother of Linton, Haave, Linda and Paul. He will be greatly missed by extended family, nieces, nephews, colleagues, friends and the policing community. Bancroft was a Constable with the Peel Regional Police for almost 20 years which was a lifelong dream of his. Recently, he was able to blend his love of communications with his work on the Police force as a Media Officer. He had a voice for radio and used it to represent the Police Community to provide important community updates. Bancroft was an avid Raptors fan and sports enthusiast. He coached youth basketball and was a conscientious fan of his daughter's basketball games, following them to their games in and outside of Canada. Visitation was held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the New Haven Funeral Centre, 7025 Legion Road (at Derry) Mississauga. Local visitation was held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 2723 Victoria St. N, Breslau, Ontario. A Celebration of Bancroft's life was held at New Hope Cemetery, Cambridge on Saturday, December 19, 2020. For those who wish to view the recorded service, please visit
