Susan McINTOSH Obituary

McINTOSH, Susan Marie Age 71 of Cambridge, Ontario passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario. She was born on the sunrise of October 22, 1946 and passed away on the sunset of April 20, 2018. She was preceded in death by her spouse Rosario Godbout and by her parents Floy (Peters) and Cyril Beechey. Mom was survived by her daughters Michelle McIntosh (Mark) and step-granddaughter Brooke, and Nina McIntosh (Jason) and her granddaughters Sage and Syah. She leaves behind her brother Gary Beechey (Debbie) and her sister Mary-Lou Enright (Chuck) and many nieces and nephews. The oldest granddaughter Sage will fondly remember her for her love of telling silly stories about people she had never met and her willingness to share exciting experiences during their many travels toether. Nan will pass along her Tic-Tac collection and many teddy bears to her youngest granddaughter Syah. For an apparent apocalypse, Ma leaves behind 52 pairs of socks, 7 frying pans, 36 black cherry Halls cough drops, plus 1000's of Ziploc bags and counting...Susie Q will be fondly remembered for her expert storytelling and ability to remember all the goings on of everyone she met. We can all have a chuckle at that...She was a road tripper extraordinaire who took many friends and family with her on adventures to Mennonite country, rural Ontario and anywhere there was a deal. As a bargain shopper, she would find all the juicy finds and often picked up a thoughtful gift for those she thought of on her travels. As a garden guru, she loved her gardens and maintaining her property but we know she won't miss picking up all the darn walnuts. Ma Sue had such a big heart and she cherished each of her friends who will all miss her dearly. We all knew someday she would leave and not come back so we cherish the memories to share and in our hearts we know she is no longer suffering which is a blessing. Taking you with us to St. Maarten where you will only enhance the beauty of the island. May you be a peace in the place you loved. Our appreciation goes out to all the nurses and doctors, PSWs and volunteers involved in Mom's care during her illness. In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre in Waterloo.
