My condolences to the Millar Family on the loss of Vance Millar. I am writing from Woodstock ON. I knew Vance from his Senior A hockey with the Welland Burlocks in 1963-64 and 1964-65. Vance a superior smooth skater and puck handler. Woodstock Athletics Senior A advanced to the Allan Cup play downs and Final in 1963-64 and our player/coach Ted Power picked Vance up as one of 3 added players for this run and the 1964-65 Allan cup run the next year. Vance was an important piece even though Woodstock did not win the Allan Cup.
Thank you Vance from a Woodstock Athletics fan!!!

The Millar Family,
I was very sorry to read of Vance's passing. What a great man he was, always a super smile when running into him. Thank goodness we did see some of your family with him and your Mother at the track. The history of friendship between our Parents was great and there was always hearty laughter and story telling.
Sincerest Condolences, Shelagh

Remember watching Vance play senior hockey when I was a boy. Was thrilled when he became my coach with Ed Mulligan in Midget hockey. Ran into him several times after that at hockey tournaments and always had a nice chat. Vance was a great guy who had a good life and will be missed!!!

Mr. Millar was always kind to me and his hockey playing days with the Galt Hornets and winning the OHA Senior "A" National Title (Allan Cup) first in 1968-69 and again as Captain in 1970-71, both with the Galt Hornets were what I remember him enjoying reminiscing about most often. Mrs. Millar was always supportive of him. I always thought Vance and Diane," complimented" each other and were good role models for the family and neighbourhood children like myself. They were a great family to be around. Condolences to Mark and Sharon and the family at this difficult time.
