GREEN, Eileen - With great sadness the family of the late Eileen Rose Green announce her passing at Canora, Saskatchewan on September 30, 2023, at the age of 85 years. Eileen was born on August 12, 1938, to Joseph and Hazel (Meyer) Wempe in Camrose, Alberta. She was the fourth of five children. Eileen grew up on the farm and was educated in the Kingman area. She completed grade 10 and helped her father on the farm before going to work at the General Electric factory in Edmonton, Alberta. Eileen joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1957, where she trained and worked in communications. While stationed in Ontario, she met Ralph Stiles, and they were married on April 21, 1959. They had two sons, Morgan and Ronn, born in Ontario before they moved back to Alberta and had another son, Lance, and daughter, Stacy. After living in Alberta for several years, Eileen joined Ralph in the mining town of Clinton Creek, Yukon, where they both worked and continued to raise their family. Eileen ended her marriage to Ralph in 1982 and continued to raise Lance and Stacy on her own, while working in the hotel industry in Grande Prairie, Alberta. She later met Claude Green and moved to Campbell River, British Columbia, where they married and owned a small restaurant. After Claude passed away, Eileen moved back to Alberta, settling in Drumheller for a while before moving to Lethbridge to be closer to her grandchildren. In 2007, Eileen moved to Canora, Saskatchewan along with other members of her family. There she lived a retired lifestyle of cooking and crafting. During the latter part of Eileen's life, she kept up her love of visiting family, making her famous fruit cake recipe, collecting movies, and reading the Bible. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Hazel, her sister, Mona, her ex-husband, Ralph Stiles, husband, Claude Green, and son, Ronn Stiles. She is survived by her sisters, Josephine and Rosalia, brother, Mark (Marilyn), children: Morgan (Julia), Lance (Carolyn), and Stacy Wetzel, her grandchildren: Nikolaus, Nathaniel (Jessica), Zachary (Katie), and Jaydon, and her great-grandchildren: Sophia, Lydianne, Elizabeth, Beniah, Emmett. and Judah.
