William ZBEETNOFF Obituary

ZBEETNOFF : William 'Bill' Fred November 10, 1930 - April 30, 2024 age 93 years. William was born in Norquay on the farm. He helped with the farm and worked with his dad on the sawmill. Later Bill went to Tech in Edmonton and received his Red Seal in Heavy Duty Mechanics. Mom and Dad were married in November 1952 and had two children, Larry and Laurie. They moved off the farm in 1957 to Norquay and then moved to Kamsack in 1961. Dad ran the welding shop in Kamsack and passed it on to Larry in 1974. He later worked at Dutchyshen Farm Equipment and part time in sales Arrow Petroleum. Later he worked at the Kamsack District Nursing Home in maintenance until he retired. Mom and Dad enjoyed traveling with Fred and Polly and made many miles together to BC, Alberta, and Hawaii, USA. The four of them kept a close eye on the grand babies and enjoyed each other's company. Music was always in his life, he played at dances, weddings, anniversaries, house and street parties. Dad was involved with mom in the farmers market, making peroshkee, varenekee, borscht, cabbage rolls and fresh produce from the garden. The van was on the go on weekends. Veregin was always a concern to all, with mom and dad being active on the executive and membership remembering their heritage and where they came from. Dad was actively living at home. He did not want to move to Eaglestone Lodge Personal Care Home or the Kamsack Nursing Home if he didn't have to. He would call and check in with us on a regular basis to make sure everyone was well. We will miss him. Rest in Peace. Bill is survived by his children: Larry (Dianne), Laurie (Michael). Grandchildren; Terri LaBelle, Leeanne (Martin) Hoehn. Great grandchildren; Hayley, Ethan, Holden, Marlee, Arya, Dash and great, great grandchild Hazel Grace.Thank you for the memories, never to be forgotten, together forever with mom.
