Allan Wayne Mossing passed away peacefully, with family by his side, at the Peter Lougheed Centre in Calgary, Alberta on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the age of 85 years. Allan was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and loyal friend. He had many interests that he was passionate about including music, theatre, barbershop, fishing, sports and travel to name a few. Allan lived life to the fullest, was loved well and will be missed by all who knew him. Allan is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley, son Rodney, daughter Leanne Thompson (Doug), son Steven, grandchildren; Stephanie Thompson (Matthew), Joshua Thompson (Jazlyn), and Jeffrey Thompson (Adrienne). He is also remembered by sister Myrt Lillejord, brother in law Bill Blackwell, sister in law Judy Baggett as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. Allan is predeceased by his parents, Evalina and Emil Mossing, 8 sisters, 5 brothers as well as mother in law and father in law, Bruce and Marjorie Claffey. A Celebration of Life will be held at Carlyle United Church, 202 2nd Street West, Carlyle, Saskatchewan, S0C 0R0 on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Sandy Dalziel officiating. A private interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to Carlyle United Church.
