In Memory of Clifford James Nankivell Nov 12th 1932 - Dec 25th 2021Joanna Catherine (Souter) Nankivell June 11th 1935 ? Nov 17th 2021 Joanna was born in Hamiota , MB to George & Annie Souter & was youngest of four siblings. She spent her childhood growing up on the farm at Decker MB & then later Kenton MB. Her love of animals came from living & working on the family farm. Joanna?s first job out of school was working at the Hamiota hospital in various capacities & loved socializing with her many friends there. It was at a local dance that she caught the eye of Cliff Nankivell & their journey of life together started. Cliff was born in the Miniota MB. district, the third son to William & Eileen Nankivell & was raised in a family of seven siblings in the Arrow River MB & Crandall MB area. He grew up on a small farm & learned the concept of pride in your possessions such as his beautiful team of horses & later the old cars he drove his parents around in. He worked out for different local farmers from an early age juggling school studies. The one thing his friends & family had in common was to attend dances in the local areas & it was there that he met Joanna Souter, the love of his life & were married June 17th 1955. Their married life started out on a small farm & Kalvin was born in Hamiota MB. The crops were ruined the following year & they moved to Alida SK to start driving in the ?Oilfield Patch?. After a move to Carnduff, Claudia was born in Oxbow, completing the family. After a short move to Halbrite & back to Carnduff, Cliff accepted the position as Truck Push for R.E. Line Trucking in Kisbey in 1969. In 1978 Cliff Nankivell Trucking Ltd. was incorporated. The family business was run like a farm with everyone involved. "You Call-We Haul" is still the motto today. They were both involved in the community of Kisbey with Cliff being a 50 year member of the Elks & past Mayor. They enjoyed spending time with their 5 grandchildren & later 5 great grandchildren with the love of traveling taking them to places such as Australia, England, Scotland, Ireland. Hawaii & as Snow Birds down to Arizona. Their passion for dancing remained with the Old Thyme dancing in the area & Scottish Dancing with the Arcola group. Joanna moved into New Hope Pioneer Lodge, Stoughton in Sept 2017 & enjoyed the staff & entertainment. Cliff continued living in Kisbey while enjoying rides on his scooter to coffee row & local activities. After Joanna passed on Nov 17th, Cliff's health declined & returned to her side on Dec 25th to dance with her again. Rest in peace as your work here is done, your love lives on with us!! It was all greatly appreciated as we lost both parents in a very short time. A special shout out to Halls Funeral Services & Michelle Moore for providing beautiful services for our parents with all the extra touches including the video & singing that made it extra special. We are blessed to live in such a caring community area. 36-1
