Adam Archibald Obituary
of Truro, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 20, 2004 with his beloved wife, Karen, at his side.Born in Colchester County Hospital on July 12, 1960, he was a son of Audrey Archibald Reid, Truro and the late Eric F. Archibald.Adam graduated from CEC, Truroand St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish and attended Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island.Through his position as a businessman, he sponsored and supported many organizations in the community.Adam was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by all those who had the good fortune to know him.Adam was well loved and known for his engaging personality, quick wit and zest for life.He was a man of great compassion.Adam was deeply rooted in the lives of his children, coaching hockey and cherishing each moment with them. One of his greatest pleasures was a simple afternoon spent at Shortt's Lake with Karen, their children and their special pet, Buddy,wakeboarding, water skiing and being the captain of his boat.Adam is survived by his soulmate and wife, Karen (Kuzik); three treasured children, Kay, Reid and Mary; mother, Audrey, Truro; brother, Ross (Emelie) and their children, Hilary and Claire of Woonsocket, RI;step brother, Chris Reid, London, Ontario.He was adored by his Thunder Bay family. He was predeceased by hissister, Ann; step-father, Dr .J. B. (Jack) Reid.A celebration of Adam's life will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, with Rev. David MacNaughton officiating. Reception and visitation to follow the service.
