ALBERT HAMILTON Obituary

HAMILTON
On September 2, 2024, Albert Ross Hamilton passed from this life to reunite with his one true love, Helen. Ross was born on March 23, 1935, in Fort William, Ontario. He was the second youngest of four children, June, Gordon, and Wilma, all of which predeceased him.

Ross and Helen were married in 1956 and remained inseparable until Helen's passing in February 2013. Together they lived a life devoted to each other and the family they created.

During his working years, Ross held a number of positions, the most significant being at Great Lakes Forest Products. After a brief retirement from there in 1990, he returned to the workforce as a school bus driver which he loved and continued doing into his late seventies.

Ross was a hard worker with a strong work ethic. He loved fishing, camping, reading, and good cowboy movies.

Ross is survived by his children, Cathy (Peter) Krivosheev, Bill (Simone), Don (Dawn); grandchildren, Cory (Tracy) Oleschuk, Katy Johnson, Ashley (Mitch) Orton, Kyla (Matt) Morin, Jordan, Ryan, and Tessa Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Luke, Reese, Jake Oleschuk, Bryn, and Robby Johnson, Nikki, Emma, and Jaxson Orton, and Dawson Morin. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Gerd Hamilton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place, with a private interment to be held at a later date. A celebration of Ross's life will be held Friday, September 6, 2024, 1:00 pm at The Salvation Army Thunder Bay Community Church - 2621 Victoria Avenue East.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Northern Reach Network at https://northernreachrescuenetwork.com. Dad really loved dogs.
