Lida was a theatre friend of my mother, Betty Coates; Lida lived up the street from us. She was fun to be around. I remember a happy summer when, as a child, I acted in a theatre production with Lida, my mother, and several other adults and children. It was a story about "a tall, tall castle" and, if I remember correctly, Lida wore a pink costume, and played the part of a young maiden who lived there. My condolences to the Van Bers family on the passing of Lida. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Mrs. Van Bers was similar to Alice Munro. A famous Canadian short Story writer who recently passed. Much of their time was spent as a house wife, helping to raise children, and much of their time was spent doing what they loved to do. Munro, writing, and Mrs. VanBers, painting art, and some Theatre. That´s how I remember Mrs. VanBers. My condolences to the family, and all the best going forward. She will be missed.
