Alex MacRae Obituary

Mr. Alex MacRae passed away after a lengthy illness at the age of 64 in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.Born January 10th, 1940, in Port Arthur, he worked at Provincial Papers for 37 years, retiring as a Tour Boss in 1996.His home and family were most important to him. Alex enjoyed biking, walking and cross country skiing for as long as his health allowed.Alex is survived by his wife Diane, children Murray (fiancee Jessica Johnson); Patricia (Jaret Gardner) and grandchildren Brooklyn and Connor, and David (Danni Sovie).Also survived by his sister Claire MacRae Kaukinen (Christopher Trump), nieces and nephews Jamie, Catherine, Karia and Jonathan and sister-in-law Irene Burns.Alex is predeceased by parents Alex and Fanny and parents-in-law Harold and Evelyn Burns.A funeral service for Mr. Alex MacRae will be held on Wednesday, March 24th, 2004 at 12:10 P.M. in St. Patrick's Cathedral with interment in Riverside Cemetery.
