We are sad to announce that Allan (Butch) Cole passed away in Mississauga on January 27, 2026. Allan was born in Geraldton on June 6, 1947. He graduated high school in Geraldton and went on to complete a surveying course at Lakehead University. He worked as a surveyor for MTO in Northwestern Ontario before moving to Scarborough to work as a quality control inspector at Pilkington Glass. Allan was an avid reader and had a vast repertoire of knowledge. His only wish when he moved to a nursing home was to be able to bring his books. He was predeceased by sisters Joyce and Vivian and brother Lloyd. Survived by brothers Ken and Doug (Irene), sister Lois (Herb) and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Allan will be dearly missed by his nephew Mark Svoboda, who cared for him for many years. There will be a luncheon and gathering for friends and family to celebrate Allan's life on Sunday, April 12 at 406 Glengary Court, Thunder Bay, from 12 to 5 p.m.
