ANA ZEC
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ana Zec on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at the age of 94 years.
Ana was born in Vivodina, Croatia on September 26, 1929. She immigrated to Canada in 1973 with her daughter Ljubica.
Ana was predeceased by her father Lovro, mother Dragica, husband Mato and her beloved daughter Ljubica.
Ana was employed by Lakehead University until her retirement. Ana loved spending time with her daughter Ljubica. They traveled Europe and USA together. They also enjoyed baking and cooking together.
Ana's favourite pastime until the end, was shopping and going to restaurants. She was a great cook and still cooked for herself until her passing.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral services for Ana will be held in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 presided by Rev. Francisco Blazek at 11:00. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment to follow at St. Andrew's Cemetery where Ana will be laid to rest next to her beloved daughter.
