Andrew Barrie Obituary

BARRIE, Andrew Earl Andrew Earl Barrie, age 6 years, died suddenly at Sick Children's Hospital in Toronto on June 8, 2000. Andrew fought a long and courageous battle against leukemia for the past 141/2 months. His fighting spirit, great sense of humour and love of life will be fondly remembered by his family and friends, including the wonderful staff at Sick Kids and Thunder Bay Regional Hospitals. He has left us with a legacy of love and beautiful memories. Survived by parents, Kathy and Paul Barrie, grandparents Bob and Joanne Barrie and Eugene and Grace Del Pino, Uncle Mark Barrie, Uncle Tim and Aunt Leona Del Pino, and cousins Robert, Brooklyn and Megan Del Pino. Numerous other relatives will also cherish his memory. Funeral services for Andrew Barrie will be held at Knox United Church, 1 Shuniah Street, at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2000, officiated by Rev. David Silliman. Private interment will follow in the family plot at Riverside Cemetery. If friends desire, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society Thunder Bay Unit - 920 Tungsten St. , P7B 5Z6, Rondald McDonald House - 26 Gerrard St. E. , Toronto, ON, M5B 1G3, NWO Sunshine Foundation - Box 2319, 1020 Dawson Rd. , P7B 1K0, Knox United Church Crittall Hall Renovation Fund, or a children's charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Harbourview Funeral Centre."
