2017
Mr. Angus McDonald passed away at home on Friday, September 8, 2017. He put up a strong fight against cancer. He was born in 1945 to Bob and Elizabeth McDonald. Oliver-Paipoonge was his home base all of his life. He always enjoyed the outdoors and never wanted an indoor job. He started out on farm tractors and moved on to construction equipment later on in his work life. Before he retired, he was the grader operator for Bruno's Contracting. He took great pride in his work and always gave 110% to anything he did. He enjoyed his travels to warmer places in the winter and fishing in the summer. He loved the time he spent with his coffee buddies; Angus was never happier then when he got to spend time with his close friends and family. Angus is survived by his loving family- wife Ilona, Nancy and daughter Gillian, Carole, husband Mike, Rob and Paige. He is also survived by the Kartinen family- Marlene (Clifford) Karila, Mary, Annie (Leonard) Nuhn, Alan, Willy (Natalie) and Carl. He has numerous cousins and their descendants. Angus is predeceased by his parents- Elizabeth and Bob McDonald. His in-laws- Miriam and Walter Kartinen and more recently his dear sister-in-law Kathy Kartinen. A Celebration of Life for Angus will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Victoria Inn. If friends desire, memorials to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
Angus McDonald will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 10, 2018.

Dear Ilona and family,
I'm so sorry for your great loss. I knew Angus for many years, he and you made a great team. His pithy comments, sense of humour and positive outlook will be greatly missed from my visits with you and your family. Love, Virve
