2021
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Anna Marilynn Garner. On April 21st, 2021, surrounded by love and her favourite flute and Hawaiian music, she went to be reunited with the love of her life. (Anna) Marilynn was born on May 31st, 1933 in Woodstock, ON. She grew up as an only child on a farm with her mom and dad and had many happy memories of camping, horseback riding, and quiet family Christmases. In the summers, she enjoyed spending time in Haliburton, swimming, fishing, and picking cherries. During her teenage years, Marilynn went to Loretto Academy, where she enjoyed most subjects (except arithmetic), pole vaulting, and school dances. After graduating high school, Marilynn went on to work at an income tax office in St. Catharines, ON until she was married. Marilynn & John married on October 2nd, 1954 in St. Alfred of Rome Church in St. Catharines, ON. They raised five children together and were married for 55 years. During their time together, they enjoyed cross country skiing, biking, travelling (especially the Ireland trip), and day trips over the border to Grand Marais and Grand Portage. Through the years, Marilynn enjoyed spending time with family, music, baking, cooking, reading, and history and had a special interest in the royal family. She enjoyed shopping and lunch dates, particularly at the local garden centre. She loved having her nails, makeup, and hair done with a colour coordinated outfit to top it all off. She especially loved her accessories and always had more purses than she could carry and more jewellery than she could wear. Marilynn is survived by her children Diane Picco (Dave), David, Debbie Boyechko (Robert), Kevin (Terry) and Becket (Joan); grandchildren Rebecca Gibson (Eric), Justin Gibson (Jenn), Christine Chernosky-Boyechko, Sarah (Andrew) and Michael Boyechko (Drue); great grandchildren Lauren, Tabitha, Brianna, Mackenzie, Colin, Braeden, Rebecca, Jonas and Eli; and great great grandchildren Tye and Maxwell. Marilynn was predeceased by her mother Gladys Maude Emigh in November 04,1961, father George Williams House in November 28, 1979, and husband John Joseph Garner in 2009. No service will be held. A special thank you to the staff at Grandview Lodge and Hogarth Riverview Manor who took excellent care of our mom and grandmother in the final years of her life. She appreciated you so much and you made a positive impact in her life every day. We are so grateful for all you've done and all you will continue to do for others.

Our sincere condolences on the loss of your very special Mom.
We have so many memories of Marilynn and John when we all lived
at Crestview Apartments many years ago.
They were very often thought about and came up in conversations starting with "I remember when"..
May she rest in peace with John.
