Anna Melita

Anna Melita April 6th, 1906 - March 12th, 2001Mrs. Anna Melita passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital on Monday, March 12th, 2001 at the age of 94 years. Anna was born in Austria, she was the former Miss Anna Matyczuk, daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Theodore Matyczuk. She came to Canada, directly to Fort William, in 1924. Anna was married here to John Melita in May 1925. He was a former CNR roundhouse employee and predeceased her on March 6th, 1951. Anna will be fondly remembered by her son, William (wife Marguerite), daughter, Bernice Melita Lee of Thunder Bay, two grandchildren, Mary Jane Melita and William John Melita, her sister Stella Chrunyk and her niece Elsie Chrunyk. A private family visitation will be held prior to a private chapel service in Jenkens Funeral Home, 226 S. Syndicate Avenue. Rev. Bob Bilinski will officiate. Interment will take place in Mountain View Cemetery."
