Mrs. Anna Tracz, age 81 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, former resident of South Marks Street, died in hospital on Thursday, October 9, 2003. Born in Romanowe Siolo, Tarnopol Poland, she married Franciszek Tracz in Poland on June 6, 1937. They came to Canada (Fort William) in 1959, where she worked at Westmount Hospital, retiring in 1978. She was a member of St. Casimir's Church, St. Casimir's Rosary Society and the Kolko Polek Society. Anna's family was very precious to her and she kept busy working with her needlepoint and puttering in her garden Anna is survived by her son Zbigniew Michael and wife Krystyna Tracz, grandchildren Theresa (Mike) Miller, Mark (Marnie) Tracz and Lisa Tracz and great-granddaughter Amanda Miller. Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Anna was predeceased by her parents, Michal and Jozefa Dopta, husband Franciszek and two sons in infancy, Leonard and Albin. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2003 when family and friends will gather for the Funeral Mass in St. Casimir's Church at 9:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Jozef Blaszek ofm. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Vigil Services will be offered on Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. , in the Blake Funeral Chapel. If friends desire, memorials to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.A tree will be planted in memory of Anna Tracz in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.
