ANNE DREBIT Obituary
ANNE DREBIT (nee HRYMNAK) May 30, 1929 - July 31, 2025
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Anne Drebit on July 31, 2025, at the age of 96.
Anne was born on May 30, 1929 in Port Arthur, to Onofrey and Natalie Hrymnak. She married Steve Drebit on November 27, 1948 and had 3 children Larry, Sharon and one son that died at birth. She spent many joyful years enjoying the outdoors with her husband Steve. Fishing and camping were among her greatest passions.
Anne is lovingly remembered by her granddaughter Kristi (Jason), whom she raised from infancy. She is also survived by her son Larry (Vicki); her grandchildren Carly and Laurie (Tammy); her 8 great grandchildren Tyler, Matthew, Steven, Kamiko, Nathan, Kaz, Azarya, and Yzadaya; her sister-in-law Helen and a large extended family of nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life lunch will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Jenkens Funeral Home . A private family burial will follow.
Should friends so desire, donations in Anne's memory may be made to Paws for Love Dog Rescue by e-transfer to [email protected] or mail to Paws for Love Thunder Bay, 281 Mary Street E., Thunder Bay, ON P7E 4J7. This rescue held a special place in Anne's heart. Matthew's dog Charlie, a rescue from Paws for Love, was a cherished visitor.
