Anne Vibert Obituary

Anne Marie Vibert, age 53 years, passed away peacefully in Toronto Western Hospital on Thursday, May 13, 2004. She is survived by her son Jason Malanych; mother Laurie Vibert and sister Christine Wild of Vancouver; sister Marjory Olynyk (Steve) of Thunder Bay, brothers Ron Vibert (Joanne) of Toronto; Dennis Vibert (Liz) of Edmonton; nephews Ken, Brian and Kristofer Olynyk and Kevin Horne; nieces Elisa Hall, Leslyann and Jessalyn Malanych and Jean Toivonen (Chris); great-niece Eliza Talbot; former husbands Bernard Malanych and Brian Marcino; Cody Gurzanski (Bernard's son and Jason's Brother); sisters-in-law Shirley Malanych, Norma Horne, and Karen Beck; brother-in-law Searle 'Satch' Malanych; mother-in-law Dora Marcino, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, as well as many close friends and acquaintances. Anne was predeceased by her beloved father Ken Vibert; mother-in-law Antonia 'Teeny' Malanych, and father-in-law Steve Marcino. Anne used her professional talents as a CGA for many years at the Waverley Resource Library and previously at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery & National Exhibition Centre, and MacMillan Bloedel Forestry products. Anne was an avid gardener and received her Judging Certificate from the Horticultural Society of Ontario in 2002. She enjoyed judging for the Horticultural Society and the C.L.E. Anne also focused her considerable creative talents to become a painter of exquisite watercolours, and an enthusiastic belly-dancer.Anne shared her love of travel with her family and friends, many of whom enjoyed vacations abroad with her. She had a special place in her heart for the beautiful Island of Jamaica and its friendly residents, several of whom had become valued friends.Annealso had a keen interest in outdoor activities including skiing, rollerblading, snow shoeing, hiking and biking. Anne had a great love for children and animals, an acute and witty sense of humour, and was never afraid to stand up to the injustices she encountered in her journey through live. Anne will always be warmly remembered by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark's Anglican Church in Rosslyn Village at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 20, followed by a Celebration of Anne's life to be held at the Rosslyn Community Centre from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. All family and friends are invited to celebrate the joy and laughter, which were so much a part of Anne's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may bemade to theHumaneSociety, Thunder Bay & District Humane Society(www.tbhs.on.ca)"
