Anni Matilda Idman

1918 - 2006

Anni Matilda Idman passed away on November 18, 2006 in the hospital in Tampere, Finland. She was born in Ikaalinen, Finland on January 5, 1918, the youngest of 5 children. She along with her husband Vaino and daughter Ulla immigrated to Canada in 1951. In Finland she worked in a cotton factory and sewed leather handbags at home. In Canada she worked in restaurants, cleaned houses and for many years she worked as a cook at Club 17. Her greatest joy, however was her family and home. Anni especially enjoyed cooking for and entertaining family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings in Finland. She is survived by and greatly missed by her husband Vaino in Finland, daughter Ulla McCutcheon, granddaughter Anneli McCutcheon in Thunder Bay and many relatives and friends in Canada and Finland. Funeral services will take place in Tampere, Finland.IDMAN
