Anthony Kapitan Obituary

Anthony Peter Kapitan, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on January 2, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital with his family by his side. Anthony "Tony" worked at the former Can Car until retiring in 1984. Tony enjoyed his gardening and building furniture. Tony is survived by his wife Anne of 67 years, daughter Yvonne (Ray) , sons Larry (Sandy) of Kitchener and Tim (Anne) of Winnipeg, sister Cecilia Loos, many grandchildren and great-grand children. He was predeceased by his mom and dad, his son Anthony "John" and his brothers Steve, Peter, Frank and Louie. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 7, 2008 when family and friends will gather for the Funeral Mass in St. Elizabeth's Church at 11:00am celebrated by Rev. Msgr. P.M. Stilla V.G. . Interment will take place at a later date in Mountain View Cemetery. If friends desire memorials to the St. Joseph's Care Group Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Anthony Kapitan in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 29, 2008.
