Anthony Miele Obituary

Anthony Miele was a man who left a powerful imprint on family and friends he touched with his love and passion for life. He died peacefully, on Monday, November 15, 2004, in his 72nd year, at home surrounded by family and friends. Tony fought a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Loretta (nee Foglia) for forty-nine years. Much loved father of Luci Lackey and her husband John of Orangeville, Filomena Nancarrow and her husband Jim of Burlington and Perry Miele and his wife Kathy of Burlington. Cherished Nonno of Melissa, Anthony, Nicole, Robert, Bianca and Anthony. Dear brother of Felice Miele and his wife Antonietta of Thunder Bay. Tony enjoyed success with his family and career. His illustrious hotel career spanned throughout Canada and abroad. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church, 4072 New Street, Burlington, on Friday, November 19, 2004 at 10:30 am. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. If desired, expressions ofsympathy to the Princes Margaret Hospital Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family."
