Antonio Andreacci Obituary

Antonio 'Tony' Andreacci, age 76 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, died in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, on Saturday, December 31, 2005. Antonio was born in Ruvo Del Monte, Potenza, Italy on March 26, 1929 and came to Fort William in 1958. He was married to Maria Armiento on December 19, 1953. He worked at CN Rail and then the Richardson Elevators until his retirement in August of 1991. Tony was an active member of St. Dominic's Church, Seniors Club and Bowling League as well as the Principe di Piemonte. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, his vegetable garden, playing bocce ball, visiting with friends but enjoyed time with his family most of all. He will be missed by his loving wife, Maria, children Josie Quirion, Teresa Hardick, Vito Andreacci, Rosann Hurley and Frank Andreacci, grandchildren Ashley Hardick, Carly Hardick, Chelsey Hardick and Michael Quirion, sister Maria Guerro, Italy and other relatives. Tony was predeceased by his parents Vito and Guiseppina Andreacci, brother Francesco and several infant brothers all in Italy. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2006 when family and friends will gather for the Funeral Mass in St. Dominic's Church at 11:00am celebrated by Rev. Daniel Lapolla c.s. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Vigil Services will be offered on Wednesday evening at 8:00 p.m. in the St. Dominic's Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Antonio Andreacci in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.
