Arthur "Art" Ball

It is with great sadness our family announces the loss of Arthur "Art" Ball on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 after a lengthy illness, he passed away peacefully in his family home with Mavis, his wife and caregiver of 18 years at his side.Art was born on September 17, 1927. He devoted 41 1/2 years working at the Port Arthur Shipyards, retiring in 1989 as an accounting supervisor. Art filled his time with his close "coffee friends", sharing in family activities and helping whenever needed at his Church. His sense of humor combined with his sincere compassion for others will surely be missed. Until we meet again.A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
