Augustine Lexie Obituary

Mr. Augustine “LuLu” Joseph Lexie was born on August 4, 1931 in Port Arthur, Ontario. He died Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at his residence in the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital at the age of 88. LuLu grew up in Parmachine with his siblings, his mother and his grandparents. In his late teens he became a fisherman on Lake Nipigon. Later he moved on to Hurkett and fished out of Black Bay. In 1996 his last move was to Lake Helen Reserve where he ran a bait shop for many years. LuLu was a jack-of-all-trades. He loved to go out to the trap-line for the whole winter. LuLu is predeceased by his mother Lucy Manitowabi, his brother Andrew Bouchard, his great nephew Miles Sammy Fawcett and his great niece Mallory Houston. He is survived by his sister Norma Fawcett, his nieces and nephews – Arden, Sarah, Bill (Connie), Nancy (Mark), Kevin and Loretta, by his great nieces and nephews – Barry, Hawk, Morgan, Misty, Thor,
Tristan, Dayna, Stone, Cody, and Storm and by his great great nieces – Bailey and Brynne-lee. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Elliott Funeral Home Ltd., Nipigon. The family wishes to thank all the Doctors and Nurses at the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital for the good care LuLu
received in his last years.
