Barbara Wilson Obituary

Peacefully, with family by her side, on Tuesday, March 18th , 2014, at Saugeen Memorial Hospital, Southampton, in her 81st year. Barb, loving wife of the late Roy Wilson. Survived by her two sons John (Jo-Anne) and Donald, her two Grandchildren, Gregory and Karly, her Sisters Betty-Joan White, Sue Johnston, Kay McTavish, and brother, Don Ditchfield. Barbara was born in Cameron Falls, Ontario and moved to Thunder Bay to pursued a Career in Nursing. She worked at the Port Arthur General Hospital where she met her husband Roy. After having their two boys, they returned to Cameron Falls to raise there family. In 1972 she and her family moved into Nipigon, Ontario. She then worked at the Nipigon Memorial Hospital for the remainder of her Nursing Career. In 1993 Barb and Roy moved to Port Elgin, Ontario to retire close to their grandchildren, where they set new roots in community and friendships. A private family service will be held. Memorial donations to the Carolyn Frances Mack Nursing Education Fund at the Saugeen Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
