BARRY EVERETT Obituary

BARRY EVERETT
It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barry Everett on September 5, 2024 at St. Joseph's Care Group. Barry was born in May 1944 in Thunder Bay. The only son of Ron and Lillian. He was raised on the family farm in Murillo and moved to the city in 1985 where he met his wife Pat, and they married in 1987. Barry's passion was playing pool and could always be found playing a game or two with his buddies. His second passion was watching the Blue Jays. Win or lose he was always a fan. He worked for Sas Wheat Pool for 36 years as a Millwright where he retired from. He made many good friends at work and from the love of sports. Visiting Grand Portage Casino was another thing he loved to do. Barry is survived by his wife Pat, sons Ronnie (Zanni), Glen (Cindy) and son Morgan. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brittany, Stacey, Shane and Dereck. Also survived by his sisters-in-law Audrey and Joan and their families, and numerous nieces and nephews. Barry will be sadly missed by all that loved him, including his special cousin Jack and Sonja and their families. A Celebration of Life for Barry will be held on the 5th day of October, 2024 between 2-5 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5, 229 Van Norman Street. Please marks this in your calendars. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

I am so sorry to hear of Barry´s passing. My most sincere condolences go out to Pat his wife and the rest of his family. Barry and I played on the same pool team for years with a great bunch of guys. He could always be counted on and off the table and I will miss him very much.

My condolences to Pat and Barry's family. I worked with Barry at Sask Pool in the 80's and then had the pleasure of getting to know him better later through union negotiating committees. I remember him as being thoughtful and thorough with his preparattion for meetings. He had empathy for his fellow workers and always could see the brighter side. We had many good times together and I always smile when I think of them.
May he rest in peace.

To Pat and the boys, our condolences on the passing of Barry. I played fastball with him for Murillo Hotel back in the 70s and he was a competitor at all times. He will be missed.
