Beatrice Irene Robinson (nee Poole) passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Pioneer Ridge. Bea was born at Port Arthur General Hospital on October 27, 1923 to David and Magdeline Patton Poole (nee Ingram). Bea attended Prospect School and Port Arthur Collegiate Institute and won the title of Junior and then Senior athlete of the year. Following graduation, she worked as an office clerk at Port Arthur Shipbuilding Company. In May, 1945, she married Paul Roland Jorgenson, and together they raised a family of three sons. Paul predeceased her on November 20, 1964. Shortly thereafter, Bea started working at Northern Wood Preservers in the payroll department, where she met Clifford Robinson. They married on March 26, 1970 and enjoyed extensive travel and many vacations in Florida. After Cliff's retirement, they purchased a winter home in Palm Harbor, Florida and returned to spend their summers at their cottage on Loon Lake and then Cedar Bay. Cliff predeceased her on December 19, 2008. Bea will be much missed by her three sons: Terry (Rosemary) Jorgenson, David Jorgenson, all of Thunder Bay; and James (Diane) Jorgenson, Winnipeg; step-children Peggy (Paul) Brauneis, Mesa, AZ; Penny (Wayne) Belanger, Robert (Linda) Robinson, all of Thunder Bay and predeceased by a step-son Douglas (Anne) Robinson. She will also be remembered by her four grandchildren: Paul Jorgenson, Gatineau, QC; Michelle (Ben) Grant, Kelly (Kim) Jorgenson, all of Thunder Bay; and Cory (Angie) Jorgenson, Winnipeg, MB; and several step-grand children, and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Gordon (Mae) Poole and predeceased by her parents David and Maude, brothers Edwin, Russell, William, and David, and sisters Carmen Shelley, Jean Lehman, and Roberta Callaghan. Funeral services will be held at Sargent's Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court St., at 2:00pm Friday, December 2, 2011.
