BERNICE WINNIFREDJERRY(nee Scott)It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother who passed away peacefully in her sleep at Dawson Court Home for the Aged April 1st, 2014 at the age of 75Bernice was born Feb 19, 1939 in Dobie Twp. She was predeceased by parents John and Agnes Scott Brothers Sandy (Alexander) Jim (James) and Donald Scott.She is survived by her daughters Patricia (Patty) Pattison (Gordie) Stratton on. Panda Jerry Thunder Bay On. Grandchildren Christine Rooker (Clinton) Corrie Thompson (Darwin) Fort Frances Charlotte Green (Allan) Thunder Bay. Great grandchildren Jade and Rodney Green Caytlin and Carley Rooker. Brother Jake Scott Emo, On., Ruth Scott New Westminister, B.C, Clara Scott Sooke, B.C, Alexandria Midtdal Kelowna, B.C, Ann Princeton, B.C and many nieces and nephews.Bernice had various cleaning jobs at tourist camps, the La Verendrye Hospital and Atikokan High School. She babysat children in Terrace, B.C where she lived.Bernice loved the outdoors and living at Crilly working in her flower gardens, walking her Doberman Dutchess. When she couldn't be outside you would find her sitting in a chair with a cup of tea knitting or crocheting socks sweaters etc. She took great pride in her work. She also preserved jams and jellies.Bernice spent her last few years in Dawson Court. She spent hours knitting socks for various staff members. She enjoyed going out for car rides, looking at flowers and visits from her daughters. She will be missed by Patty (Gordie) Panda and Molly (little dog who loved Bernice)We would like to offer our gratitude and thanks to those at Dawson Court who took exceptional care and gave great compassion to our Mother. Aunty Alex for making life a bit easier.There will be no service at this time."
