Beverley Ann Dale of Neebing Township, peacefully passed away on January 7th, 2022, at the age of 78, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Bev is survived by her sisters, Dale Perry and Dorothy Hillman (Thom Williams); her children, Tamara (Tom) Hetherington, Deanne, Stuart Lee (Diane Rogers); Kim (Craig) Cunningham and grandchildren Ben, Naomi, Joshua, Emma, Erik, Tilson, Parker, Caelan and Lucas. Predeceased by her loving husband, Glen Dale.
Bev was a nurse in her early years and that mantra of looking after others extended throughout her life as she engaged in her community from looking after gardens at her church and sailing club, to a volunteer Brown Owl for her daughter's Brownies, leading the charge to protect environmentally sensitive areas that extended to seven years on the Board of Directors with Lakehead Region Conservation Authority, her ongoing involvement with the Lake Superior Freshwater Futures, advocating for NDP candidates locally, volunteered as President of the Sounds of Superior and was also elected twice as a Councillor for Neebing Township. Bev always loved music, art, and gardens. She had been in church choir and when moving to Thunder Bay, joined the lovely Sounds of Superior Sweet Adelines. Anyone that knew Bev knew her beauty was well rooted in her love of gardens and the wildlife which she chose to live amongst.
The family would like to extend our immense appreciation to Dr. Kathy Simpson and her colleagues that looked after Bev at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital. We also must acknowledge the professional and authentic care of our mother, who was palliative, by the surgical floor 3B and Dr. William Harris.
Please reach out to family and friends of Bev if you would like to join Bev's Memorial Service that will be held virtually on January 13th, 2022.

Sorry for your loss. Bev was a friend I will never forget. The dedication Bev and Glen had to people, politics and Lake Superior will always be unmatched. I think of them often.
