Bill Brennan, age 67 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully with his family by his side in St. Joseph's Hospice on Saturday, December 14, 2013. His dedication and unconditional love for his family will always be remembered and cherished. Bill was born on March 7, 1946, the son of Leonard and Cecile Brennan. He grew up on Rosslyn Road and attended schools in the area. Bill married Louise Illson in 1968 and they enjoyed 36 years of marriage, together raising their two daughters Debbie and Lori. He worked at Great Lakes for 38 years and retired at the age of 57. He enjoyed fishing, camping, stock car racing and watching his grandchildren play sports. He was always helping family and friends. Bill will be lovingly remembered by daughter Debbie (Derek), granddaughter Lexi, daughter Lori (Chris) and grandchildren Derek, Matthew, Cassaundra and Nicholas as well as great granddaughter Melody; wife Gerarda who he married in 2010 and her family. Also by brothers Maurice (Lisa), Terry (Shirley), Marvin (Sue), Dale (Shelley), sisters Marilyn (Bob Speak) and Pat (Roy Todd) and their families, brothers-in-law Mike Prystanski and Fred Haner and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends also survive. He was predeceased by his loving wife Louise, parents Leonard and Cecile Brennan and sisters Janice Prystanski and Denise Haner; in-laws Arthur Illson, Elizabeth Illson, John Illson, Phyllis Knapp and Bertha Godick. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013, when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 10:30am, at Corpus Christi Church celebrated by Rev. Norbert Eyule. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
