Blaine Arthur Hyslop, of Winnipeg, MB passed away suddenly on March 3, 2016. He was born January 23, 1946 in Carmen, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his wife Pamela and parents Allegra and George Hyslop. He is survived by his four children Terri (Greg), Chris (Vicki), Scott and Jenn (Nick), his brother Daryll (Eileen) and niece Christine, 8 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren and his partner of 5 years Carol Butterfield and her two children Dale and Sharen and families. Blaine attended Grant Park School in Winnipeg. Blaine worked for CIBC for 37 years in many parts of Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario and retired June, 2002. Blaine loved to travel and savoured the warm winter getaways all his life. He played all sports and especially football for the Fort Gary Lions where the team won the Little Grey Cup in 1965 where he was chosen the Most Valuable Player of the game. Blaine and his childhood best friend Bob Van Walleghem shared the love of curling and lawn bowling together. In 1995 Blaine and his curling team won Manitoba's Mixed winner. Blaine was a championship lawn bowler for Bowls Manitoba and Bowls Canada. In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place. In Lieu of flowers Blaine requests that you have a drink in his honor and ask that you make sure you live life to the fullest as every day is a gift. He loved his life. If Donations are wished to be made, Blaine requests they be directed to Pancreatic Cancer Canada in honor of Pam. A celebration of Blaine's life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Glen Lawn funeral homes at 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.
