Brent Sutton Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brent (Doc) Sutton on May 14, 2016 at the Toronto General Hospital. He was born in the Port Arthur General Hospital July 17, 1945. Doc grew up in Gillam MN, Atikokan ON, and Thunder Bay. He spent many years as a Property Assessor and upon retiring worked part time as a CSO with the Superior Court. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 44 years, Percy (Priscilla Tebbenham), his daughters Danielle Sutton (Roy Tuck) of Beaver Lodge AB, and Michelle Sutton of Thunder Bay. He is also survived by brothers Don (Pam) Thunder Bay, Barry (Caroline) Oakville ON, Ross (Brenda) London ON, and sister Laurie (Johan) Janzen Burnaby BC. Brother-in-laws Manfred Rossdeutscher Langley BC and Bill (Cathy) Tebbenham Thunder Bay also survive. Nieces, nephews and their families survive in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario. Doc was predeceased by his parents Tom and Audrey (Elston) Sutton, in-laws Bill and Doris Tebbenham, and most recently by his sister Linda Rossdeutscher. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the Sargent & Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street, Thunder Bay preceded by visitation with family at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Lung Association, Thunder Bay Christmas Cheer Fund or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

I met Brent at the COPD class at St Joe's, and Iwas sad to hear of his passing! He was such a nice man who fought, the fight! He had such a good sense of humour,even though he had his health issues to deal with!I am so sorry for your loss, and even though I didn't know him very long, he made such an impression and will be missed!

Percy and girls, we shared many a laugh with Doc and you and he always made the world a better place. His rough journey is now now over and and his positive attitude will not be forgotten.
