BRIAN WALKER Obituary

BRIAN WILLIAM WALKER February 20, 1946 ~ April 8, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Brian William Walker on April 8, 2025, after courageously battling numerous illnesses over the years.

Brian was a skilled tradesman, dedicating the last 25 years of his career as the head painter for the Lakehead School Board.

His greatest joys were his family, boating on Lake Superior, meeting his friends at the legion and helping anyone in need with his warm smile and kind heart.

Lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 59 years, Bernice, son Brian (Shannon) Walker, daughters, Lisa (Stephane) Lachance, Rachele (Clay) Cheppenko. Also his cherished grandchildren, Lorri-Lyn (Ian), Jessica, Stephanie (Alex), Andrew (Jessica), Sydnee and Hunter. He was also a proud great grandfather to Cali-Rose, Weston and Claire. He will be dearly missed by his brothers Preston (Jackie), Dennis (Kelly) and sister Virginia (Dave), numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Walker, Doreen (Earl) Coreau and his brother, Larry Coreau.

A special thank you to all of the Doctors, nurses and staff at TBRHSC and St. Joe's for their compassion and care.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a Charity of Your Choice, reflecting Brian's spirit of giving and compassion.

Brian you are so going to be missed by everyone who ever crossed your path including myself. You were such an amazing upbeat man who was always as helpful as you could every chance you got even when your mobility was compromised. You had a killer smile that brightened up many people days. I always enjoyed seeing you at Legion Manor every time I visited my parents and when I ran into Bernice I was happy to hear that you had moved to your new building and you were enjoying it there. I will carry you in my heart for because your pep talks sure made a difference to my dad and Elsie and many others in the building. And thank you Bernice for sharing him with so many of us. I enjoyed running into you. You are an inspirationg because you never seemed to let anything get you down and always stopped to have a chat and that was appreciated that. Big hugs Bernice and family.
Sincerely Janice Shears ( nee Oram )
