Bruce Anthony Bannon

To our great sorrow the family of Bruce Anthony Bannon announce his sudden passing at TBRHSC on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the age of 60. A member of Fort William First Nation, Bruce worked as a chair lift and snow maker for Mountain McKay Ski Area and briefly for Canada Malt plus numerous labourer jobs throughout the years. Bruce lived his life to his way and tried to enjoy it to the fullest. He walked everywhere and wore out plenty of shoes, in his younger years he could be seen at all the pool halls in and around the city. Later years he liked his bingo and casino. He was predeceased by his mother and his father Lyla and Martin Bannon Sr., sister Claudette Orwick and nephews Trevor Pelletier, Mike Orwick, Alex LeGarde, Harold Pelletier and Noah Morris, sister-in-law Lorna Pelletier and brother-in-law Percy LeGrarde Sr. He is survived by his brothers Leonard Pelletier, Thomas “Butch” (Linda) Pelletier, Martin (Debbie) Bannon, Tim (Karen) Bannon, sisters Barbara LeGarde, Mary Ellen (Jim) Ward, Lorraine Bannon, Lousie Bannon, Janet Bannon and Cindy Bannon, brother-in-law Garry Orwick. And numerous nieces and nephews, as well as cousins and friends. Family and friends will gather for funeral Mass on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Anne's Mission Church, Fort William First Nation celebrated by Rev. Larry Kroker s.j. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.

Bruce Bannon will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 11, 2017.
