Bruce Clarke Obituary

In his 74th year, Bruce Evlyn Clarke passed away peacefully at his residence, Roseview Manor, on Monday, March 22nd, 2004. Bruce was born in Toronto and lived most of his life in Hamilton and Ancaster. He was the Receiver at McMaster University where he continued to work in his later years with the students at McKay Hall. Bruce was treasurer of the Kinsmen Club in Dundas, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and played an active role in the McMaster Social Club. He was happiest when tending his garden, coaxing his prize amaryllis, and travelling the world alone or with friends. Bruce will be remembered for his devilish sense of humour, insistence on excellence, and superior intelligence. He continually amazed us all with his memory of family events and the details of our shared history.He was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy (Gould) and Ted Clarke. Bruce will be fondly remembered by his friends, caregivers, and family. Sisters Elizabeth Turenne and JaneTaylor; cousin June Thom (England); nieces and nephews Rick Weaver (Kari); Susan Eskins (Rick); Kim Paquin (Danny); Steven Weaver; Teri Connelly (Terry); Chris Weaver; Kristi Taylor (Matt); Janine Cook (Lee); Heidi Taylor (Jay); and great nieces and nephews Terelyn, Jane; Christian, Julia; Brennen, Gowan, Josh; Kelsey, Michael; Carson, Spencer; Lizzie, Rebecca, Tory, and Marshall. Also by special friendsDale Allen, Carlos Ramirez Garcia, Ann Cormier, Mary Lou Kelley, Gayle Pryce and Sandra Theriault.Cremation has already taken place.Friends and family will gather at Roseview Manor, 99 Shuniah Street at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 24th, 2004.
