BRUCE EDWARD GAMMOND September 7, 1952 - December 13, 2025
The family of Bruce Edward Gammond are saddened to announce his passing on December 13th, 2025 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in Thunder Bay.
Bruce was born on September 7th, 1952 to Bill and Shirley Gammond. He was predeceased by his wife Shelley in 2019, parents Bill and Shirley, sister Patricia Ward and his sister-in-law Linda Gammond.
Bruce is survived by his sons Bill (Amy) Gammond-Boucher, Bob Gammond-Boucher, six grandchildren, mother of his sons Barbara Boucher, sister Sharon (Paul) Donaldson, David Gammond, Michael (Glenice) Gammond and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bruce was a strong, kind hearted person who would help those in need when he could.
His life long work as mainly in construction as foreman of jobs in Thunder Bay and surrounding areas of which he was very proud and dedicated.
Bruce spent some of his leisure time league bowling at Galaxy Lanes where many of his friends gathered. He and Shelley spent as much time as they could at their trailer at Kashabowie until it was no longer possible for them. Although Bruce did not like eating fish, he would fish and share his bounty with friends. It was more about the gathering and having a good time.
The family is very thankful to his friends that took the time to visit him regularly while confined at home... he loved that... and to Scotty who was ready to help out at our beck and call and to Greg for his special connection to Bruce giving him undivided attention while in town. Bruce always looked forward to spending time with him.
As per Bruce's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no formal funeral. Family will gather at a later time for a private celebration. Bruce will be missed by his family. He was a very special link in our chain.
His favourite saying about life was "I did it my way".
