Bruce Reith Obituary
It is with great sadness that the Reith family announces the passing of Bruce Reith; father, brother, uncle, son, husband, friend and beloved Papa. Bruce left us peacefully in hospital on March 8, 2007 surrounded by family and friends. Bruce was born on December 21, 1956, celebrating his 50th Birthday in December at a surprise party hosted by his daughters Erin and Melissa. He was recently employed at Bombardier and Superior Safety. Bruce enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially his time at Loon Lake. Bruce was involved in numerous organizations including the L.S.S.R. , the Military Museum, Lake Superior Bottle Club and the Thunder Bay Museum, but his greatest passion was history, specifically the American Civil War. Bruce 's passion for American Civil War history touched every part of his life, from naming his pets to putting decals on his cars; he kept history close to him all the time. Bruce had a giant heart and took every chance he had to show the people he loved that he cared. He will be greatly missed by his father Bud (Kathleen), daughters Erin and Melissa, grand-daughter Megan, Marilyn, sisters Diane (Dave), Debra, Sandra (Shawn), Auntie Sally, nephews Shane (Sarah) and Darius, great-nephew Kaiden and special friend Irene, and not to forget his beloved pets Scout and Dixie Belle. He is pre-deceased by his mother Esther, Uncle Bob, Auntie Margie and, Grandparents. A celebration of Bruce 's life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday March 12, 2007 at Wesley United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to an education fund for Erin, Melissa and Megan Reith can be made at the CIBC branch located at the corner of Victoria Avenue and Brodie Street."
